LinkedIn Learning Recommendations

It is very important to always keep learning things and to expand your skillset. LinkedIn Learning is a great place to learn both hard and soft skills. Through Mazars, I was able to complete 10+ hours of LinkedIn courses and found most to be very informative. Here is a list of my favorite courses: 

Visual Storytelling in PowerPoint

 How do we create presentations that tell a compelling story to engage the audience? This LinkedIn course taught by Jole Simmons, a presentation and multimedia designer, was a great introduction to incorporating storytelling within a PowerPoint. Jole showed us some very creative ways to make presentations more visually appealing.

Strategies for Your First 90 Days in a New Job

This was a helpful course taught by Madeline Mann, a popular LinkedIn career coach and former human resources leader who teaches you how to excel during your first 90 days of a new job. In the course, you learn what questions to ask your manager and coworkers, how to create a reaction document, and how to set yourself up for a promotion. Overall, I recommend this course for anyone starting a new job soon.

20 Habits of Executive Leadership

How does one go about becoming an effective leader? This course was focused on strengthening oneself, so that one can be a leader for others. This was a great course to improve my soft skills, where I learned about creating a personal statement, relaxation strategies, decision making strategies, and handling stressful times. 

Having Difficult Conversations: A Guide for Managers 

Even though I'm not a manager yet, this was a great course in learning how to deal with conflict and navigating difficult conversations in the workplace. The course began by looking at your current conflict style and then gave helpful recommendations on how to most effectively deal with conflict. 

How to Use Data Visualizations to Make Better Decisions Faster 

Being able to effectively present data, so people can quickly understand what they are seeing is important. This was an informative course where I learned how to best present data and which data visualization type to use when presenting different information.  The course was created to help those who don’t work with data daily, understand how to most effectively present data. 

Advanced Branding 

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about a brand? That is the power of branding, and skilled marketers can influence what words come to mind when people think about a brand. This course delves deep into how to conduct brand research, developing a strong brand, brand management, and how to tell a story with your brand. 

SEO Foundations 

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a very important part of digital marketing and can be very complex. This was a great introductory course into what SEO is, how to conduct keyword research and create valuable content that will assist in your SEO efforts. Overall, if anyone is new to SEO and wants to learn about it, this is a good first course. 

Learning to Write Marketing Copy

Market copy can make or break a successful ad. This course delves deep into the different types of copywriting, the steps to writing market copy, and how to write for different mediums. The instructor also discusses ways to beat writer’s block.
