The Power of LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a goldmine of career opportunities, but most people don’t take full advantage of the platform.

Most times people create a profile and then rarely update it, which causes them to lose out on valuable job opportunities from recruiters and professional connections. Now, more than ever, people need to build their personal brand, which opens up new opportunities, increases their visibility, and helps them more easily bounce back from potential layoffs.

During my job search, LinkedIn gave me invaluable tips on how to better my resume, interview skills, cover letters, job searching, etc. Unlike other platforms, LinkedIn is one of the most positive social media platforms with many people wanting to genuinely help others. I always enjoy going on LinkedIn to see the latest updates from people I’m following and to see what career tips I am going to learn. The great thing about LinkedIn is that it’s completely free and all you have to do is create an account to reap the benefits.

There are too many great influencers to list here, but here are a few that give helpful career advice.

Overall, LinkedIn is a great tool to help people build their personal brand, grow their professional network, and learn from other professionals. I would highly recommend people take full advantage of all its benefits.
