Substack is a wonderful platform filled with many unique bloggers that create helpful and interesting content. I have been creating content on Substack for two years and continue enjoying the great community. Here are my favorite blogs that focus on career tips, general life advice, and mental health.

Career Advice

Job Search Guide Newsletter | Jan Tegze | Substack

Jan Tegze is a recruiter who shares his insider knowledge by giving out tips about resumes, interviewing, networking, and other career-related topics. For anyone wanting to learn more about the hiring process from a recruiter’s perspective, then this is a wonderful Substack to subscribe to. I have learned a lot from his weekly newsletters and always send articles to friends who I know would benefit from reading them.

The Introverted Networker | Greg | Substack

For those who are introverts, networking can be difficult for us because we are not as outgoing as our extroverted counterparts. Greg Roche gives tips on being able to successfully navigate networking as introverts by utilizing unique ways to network. He also adds helpful videos throughout his articles that add more dimension and a personal touch to his newsletter. Greg also has a helpful podcast that you can listen to as well on his Substack.

The Career Whispers | Coach Erika | Substack

Erika Gezmer works at Google and is also a career coach who helps tech people with their job searches, but her advice is helpful to people who work in many different fields. She also regularly publishes job career diaries where she shadows a person who is looking for a new job in tech. I have learned about new job boards and different job searching strategies while reading these diaries.

Amit Patel is a resume writer who gives helpful career advice to help individuals climb the corporate ladder. He focuses on a wide variety of career tips, including how to improve your resume and job search process, interview preparation advice, LinkedIn guidance, and sharing different career lessons he has learned in his life.

Banji Alo | Substack

Banji Alo is a data scientist, career advisor, and author. His Substck, Career Digest, gives unique career advice that I haven’t found anywhere else. He gives great advice about upskilling, interviewing preparation, motivational career advice, and much more. I always learn something new when reading his articles.

General Life Advice

Unfiltered by Tim Denning | Substack

Tim Denning is a very popular Substaker who gives life advice in a frank and straightforward way. He gives advice on a wide variety of topics, including financial advice, friendship tips, and life lessons he has learned throughout his life. Tim talks about the power of individuality and doing what is best for you, instead of simply following the status quo.

Herbie Mack | Substack

Herbie Mack is a suicide prevention specialist and writes about mental health issues and tips on how to improve your mental health. I virtually met Herbie at a suicide prevention event when he shared his inspiring story about his mental health journey and how he uses his challenging experiences to help others. Herbie is a kind soul who is passionate about helping people improve their mental health.

Strategy for Life | Malcolm Gilderdale | Substack

Malcolm Gilderdale’s Strategy for Life Substack aims to help people live happier lives and be better friends, partners, and parents in life. He shares his vulnerabilities and life advice with others. I enjoy his conversational writing style, along with his tidbits of wisdom.

Joyful Headspace | JoyfulHeadspace | Substack

The Joyful Headspace combines mental health tips with spiritual insights to help people improve their mental wellbeing. Art, music, and poetry are also incorporated in their articles which adds a nice touch. Inner child work, connecting to a higher power, and mindfulness tips are concepts discussed in this Substack.
