World Day Against Human Trafficking

Today (July 30, 2023) is World Day Against Human Trafficking.

This day serves as a painful reminder that there are millions of people stuck in the human trafficking industry.

According to the Apage International Mission (AIM), an estimated 49.6 million people are living in-modern day slavery.

According to Youth.gov, this year’s theme for World Day Against Human Trafficking is “Reach every victim of trafficking, leave no one behind.”

Unfortunately, sex trafficking is also a part of human trafficking and children as well as adults are targeted.

According to the Tim Tebow Foundation, every minute 156 CSAM (child sexual abuse material) images and videos are being shared on the web.

This a quite disgusting and disheartening thing to think about, especially as these as young children, who are innocent and deserve to have a safe and happy childhood.

Human trafficking is one of the greatest evils in the world, but we can work together to end it.
